PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: June 4, 2025

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank today announced that leading rating agencies Fitch and S&P have both given AAA, stable outlook credit ratings to the Bank.

“These AAA credit ratings are a testament to our strong financial foundation, excellent fiscal stewardship and management controls that we have implemented at the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank,” said Executive Director William Fazioli. “The stable outlook also shows rating agencies’ confidence that our Board and management will continue to execute favorable policies benefiting borrowers, Rhode Island taxpayers, and ensuring a continued source of affordable capital for clean and drinking water projects for decades to come.”

Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank Board Chairman Vahid Ownjazayeri added, “Our Clean and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund programs provide hundreds of millions in low-cost financing for vital water projects in communities across the state. These AAA ratings assure Rhode Islanders that the Infrastructure Bank is highly creditworthy and responsible in using public funds to improve critical infrastructure.”

These ratings were assigned in connection with an upcoming bond sale to fund the ongoing work at the Narragansett Bay Commission.
