PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: September 17, 2025
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, the state’s central hub for financing infrastructure improvements for municipalities, businesses, and homeowners has closed on a $218,665 Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan, with 20% principal forgiveness (i.e. a grant) to the Tiverton Wastewater District for an update to the district’s facility plan for future sewer improvements. Updated facility plans are a prerequisite to receive project financing through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
“Wastewater systems need to be continually maintained and upgraded, and this $218,000 loan will allow the Tiverton Wastewater District to develop plans for infrastructure improvements,” said William Fazioli, Executive Director of the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank. “Once these plans are complete, Tiverton will be eligible to apply for low-cost financing through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to implement sewer and wastewater treatment upgrade projects that will serve the town’s residents, businesses, and protect the environment.”
